November 2008

As some of you may know, over the past few years I have been working hard to develop my own Coaching business.  I have reached a point where it is necessary to regularly communicate various projects I have going on with all of my clients, family, and friends, thus I have finally put together my very own monthly newsletter.

I'm hoping with this newsletter to provide some insights, tools, learnings and innovative ideas for all of us to use in our own personal innovation process.   I'll also update you on my latest class offerings and events.  Please forward this newsletter to friends, family, colleagues and others who may find the information helpful.

If you have received this newsletter from a friend and would like to subscribe, please send an email to lzettler@indy.rr.com with "subscribe" in the subject line.  If you'd like to unsubscribe, simply send me an email with "unsubscribe" in the subject line, and I'll be glad to take you off the distribution list.

On a Personal Note
I love/hate fall.  I love a crisp fall day with the beautiful change in colors, the pleasant temperatures, the beginning of football season and the promise of cuddly fires and warm beverages.  I hate fall because it means that things are dying, winter is too close for comfort and I'll be spending more time indoors than outdoors....and most of all because I hate being cold!  However, given that I am blessed/cursed to see the best in everything, I realize that there is a lot of beauty in winter as well, and that death occurs so that new growth can flourish.  So I ask----what new growth do you want in your life right now? Or alternatively, what do you want to let go of in your life right now?  What changes will you need to make in order to allow the growth?

A great employee, manager, friend, musician, business owner, wife, mother, volunteer.....all have one thing in common.  If they are great at what they do, then they are all strong people with solid foundations.  They are healthy, generally know who they are, what their values are and what they want.  Most importantly, they continuously grow.  How many of the following apply to you?

My life is rewarding outside of my job and workplace.
I have a partner, friend, coach or colleague who challenges me to grow and helps me develop personally.
I don't look for love or fulfilling personal needs at work.
I tell myself the truth, and am open to hearing the truth from others about myself.
I know what my greatest values are and I set goals around them annually.
I have a very strong personal foundation.
I don't allow my personal life to interfere with my work life.
I am self-aware and I know exactly where I am in my path of personal development.
I am in good health and have daily habits that support a healthy body.
I am emotionally healthy, I deal with conflict in a healthy way.
What I want for you is to be able to hit them all!

Lynn Recommends
These are my most recent favorite BOOKS: http://lynnzettler.com/books.html

I also highly recommend the following as a few of my most favorite things:

    1) Dream Dinners (www.dreamdinners.com).  This is a place where you can make meals to be frozen for your family.  They are healthy and delicious and if you are really busy, they'll make them for you ahead of time for a small fee.  You an find a location near you at this website.  96th Street in Indy is my favorite.

    2)  Urban Eden Soap Company (UrbanEden@gmail.com)  Laura Natusch makes her own soaps and wraps them in beautiful colored papers which make fabulous gifts.  I recently used her to make soaps for my daughter's wedding as guest favors and they turned out fabulously.  She has several different types, scents, colors, etc. and her prices are very reasonable.  Contact her for details.
