We Can't All Be Heroes........Or Can We?
I was recently watching the CNN special on their selections for Heroes 2009 Ordinary People Extraordinary Impact and was truly inspired. I was not aware of this annual prestigious award which is decided by the combination of a panel for the top ten followed by public voting for the winner. The top ten include a school bus driver who has provided over 70,000 free meals in New York City, a woman who founded a mobile free mammography service to those without health insurance and a New Orleans citizen offering tutoring, instruments and music education to kids of the French Quarter in order to keep them off the streets, just to name a few. It doesn't matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle,
when the sun comes up,
you had better start running.
